Nice engines and pumps, i must admit i like the Bradford, the color nice too, i have the modern version of this engine

thanks. the bradford is the wrong color but its all i had to hand at the time. makes it look a bit different though.

yeah sorry. just noticed my reply sounds like i didnt notice what you had said. lol. i do like it but had a few people comment on it being wrong but i just ask them whos engine it is and if i want it that color so what. so it makes a change for someone to say they like it so thanks for that.

What age is your engine and have you managed to find any information on it, all i know about mine is that it is a Bradford 5hp 1933 enclosed crank and carb governed, it's nice having a rare engine but finding any info is a nightmare

all i have on it so far is whats on its show info sheet bellow and thats what i have been told by someone on the other forum...

THIS IS A 1919 BRADFORD 5HP OPEN CRANK, HIT ‘N’ MISS ENGINE.
IT WAS MADE BY THE BRADFORD GAS ENGINE COMPANY LTD OF SHIPLEY, YORKSHIRE.

I did manage to find out that the Bradford museum has some information from the company, i have not chased up anything yet, thought it could be a winter project
