Re ; Welcome Message

Post  BulldogBert on Wed Feb 01, 2012 8:57 pm

Hi all, and many thanks for your welcome messages, I currently own 2 old engines 1 is a petter that runs as sweet as a nut therefore is sat awaiting some TLC while I crack on with the other which is a J.A.P. and in need of lots of attention including identifying and sourcing a mag the carb as had a bit of abuse around some of the brass jets but apart from that I think it will run sweet as every thing else is perfect for its age, talking of which I,ve been studying this forum re the dates and engine markings and they don't seem to give me much idea of its origins maybe someone would be able to help the number stamped on the usual place is :- 6/C84395/1 they have been well preserved under thick green paint and are very clear to read. Some of the other numbers cast into the crankcase are 18541/2F and on the cylinder MC with the numbers 19054 underneath, Look forward to reading your replies and hope I can help in some way later. Many Thanks Bulldog Bert.

I've started a new thread for you in the correct section as not many people read the new members section, so watch both places.

This is the link.
