how do you TEST A CONDENSER?????

HI THERE ALL
i was woundering if there is a way to test a condenser ??????
and can a condenser work for 1-2 hrs and then dead as a viking????
like coils can work and warm up and stop workng until cold if the is a break in the winding and the gap opens with heat and then spark wont jump the gap
in the coil.

Condensers will mess about I had a problem on a BSA mother bike C15 the bike would not start but if I bumpt it down a hill to get it going as long as the revs were kept up it was fine, that was condensers

i will charge one up with my charger and pass it to my wife
and see if i can still make her heart jump and see if theres a spark still there lol lol
no serously the charger idea sounds so easy ,i couldnt work out how to stimulate a charge for testing
ive see on utube a man with a vespa scooter with a duff one on and he put a new one to the ignition wiring and touched it to the engine and the engine speeded up to show the condenser was week ,but he had a running engine to work from
