Bolt Diameter Size

Its my last day at work today, and i wanted to get some nuts and bolts from the stores to mount my Lister D onto a Trolley that im hopefully going to make over christmas.
Like an idiot though, ive forgot to measure the hole diameter...... can anybody please tell me what size i need, save me a job coming back in tommorrow.

10mm dia should be ok, some big outside dia washers to go on the bottom would be good to get too

i wasn't sure if 12 mm would be too big............i used 10's on mine.........don't really see a Lister D breaking 4 10 mil bolts

Well I am sorry but I would use 1/2 inch! Metric bolts on old British engines and trolleys, no way!
