Post  RAB on Wed Dec 21, 2011 9:45 pm

Hi all,

Right now that im back, im going to start the header picture vote again.

I think this year all engines should be driving something, pump or something like that.

If your entry is not driving something then it will be omited from the vote. so please feel free to start sending your entry in.

Paul

Personally I don't think the picture is big enough to put that much on.

Steve,

Im sure you would find something interesting in your travels.

All,

The reason i said about pictures with engines driving something is to show potentiol new members to the hobby what we can do with our engines, theres other things as well as water pumps, (i used that as it was the first thing to crop into my mind). I have pictures of a vacum pump where there are only 1 known one in the country, and thats a mate of mine. what about drills, lathes, stone crushers etc.

If anyone has any ideas please put them forward, the admin team and myself cant do everything on our own and after all the forum belongs to everyone. And there input is more than welcome.

Paul

just a couple of thoughts, after looking at my pics from the biggest rally in my area this year only about 60 % were running anything at all.

also images running equipment will often be either long and thin or include a lot of background top and bottom and space is limited in a header image.

just my thoughts.

I agree with you Neville unless the header is changed to fit it in.

My self I like to see engines running things when I used to rally people would always ask what do they do, I have started to fill my summer house up with engines .
I have been buy advertising images from the US and getting them blown up to A4 size and laminating them and started putting them round the shed so you can see what they were used for.
