Hello and help!

Post  Mattk on Fri Nov 18, 2011 11:14 pm

Just a message to say hi, Im new to any type of forum and new to stationary engines.

I have just been given a Lister D engine in very poor condition after being under a hedge for the last 20 years! My uncle says it is a dk but im unsure as the only part that seems to be on it to make it a dk is the vaporiser. I want to restore it but want to get it right. I have stripped it down and will require lots of parts.

Im hoping someone will be able to help me with the info i need.

Thanks, Matt.

Hi Matt and welcome to the forum. Very Happy

You'll find that most of the members have or have had a Lister D, So there shouldn't be a problem giving you help, there's also some great books on restoring a Lister D that give you step by step instructions.
I know a few of the members have some spares for D's so just put an add in the wanted section.

Good luck with the restoration and keep us informed of your progress and some pics would be good,

Stu.
