Lister B fuel tank

Post  Dave5404 on Mon Oct 24, 2011 12:33 am

Does anyone know the dimensions for a Lister B fuel tank ? This is for the trolley mounted round tank and not the horseshoe shaped engine mounted one. The one I got with the engine is a rectangular one (not original) and I want to replace it with a round one. As I can't seem to find one anywhere it looks as though I will probably end up making one and I'd like to get the sizes correct.
Cheers

The only person that could help make one would be Frank's tanks, sorry I havn't his detail but someone one the forum might have them. I think he advertises in the SE mag so maybe check that out.

There's a Lister B for sale on ebay it has a tank mounted on the engine looks like a Lister D tank.

Cheers Stu. I came across the one on ebay a little while ago. Mine should have the round type mounted on the trolley given that it's an agricultural spec one and that's what I'd like to fit to keep it original. The one I got with it looks like a home made jobby. I'll make one myself if I can find the dimensions somewhere.

My Lister J has a round tank trolley mounted if them measurements are any good?
I can't think of anyone on the forum with a Lister B.

Would appreciate it Stu. They look of similar proportions compared to the engine.
Thanks for the flyer John. Always handy to hang onto

Lister A's and B's do come original with rectangle or squareish tanks may not think it but may do have them

I have seen then with square tanks Matt in fact I have a Lister B brochure and one of them on there has a rectangular tank but the one I've got certainly wasn't made by Lister. It was a real Friday afternoon job if it was Very Happy

Dave I'm sorry I've not got the tank measurements yet, I've not forgotten you just been busy doing other non-engine stuff so not been near it.
I will try to get it this weekend all going well.

Stu.

hey no worries Stu. I'm a long while off starting on her yet. I'm just slowly gathering up bits. pieces and info so I can (hopefully) get on with it when I start.
