New member, First stationary engine

Post  perseo on Wed Oct 19, 2011 7:59 pm

Hello to all, we are new to the stationary engine scene and have just acquired our first project. A 1960 Millars Mud Pump driven by a Bamfords EG1 engine. Lots of work required to re-bush all bearings but no big deal. The diaphragm is a problem. Needs a new replacement and to date have not found a source. If we cannot find a new one then there seems little point in restoring the pump. Initial inspection of the engine shows a damaged
cover on the mag. This is a Lucas DRI MK 11A. We would be most grateful if anyone can supply advice on sources to move the project forward.
Best wishes,
Perseo

Hi and welcome to the forum. Very Happy

Not everyone reads the new members section so it would be best if you put a new thread in the "Wanted Section" on the forum. I'm sure someone will be able to point yoou in the right direction to help you, just give it a few days.

Stu.
