New member, new project

Post  geoffw on Wed Oct 12, 2011 12:40 pm

Hi guys, just joined the forum as I have an interest in Lister petter engines. I have a Lister LD1 which is now running and I am looking to use it for something. First thought was to make a screw type log splitter. Has anybody else done anything similar. I dont want to just let it sit without it doing some occasional work! Very Happy

Hi Geoff and welcome to the forum. Very Happy

The only log splitters I've seen have been hydraulic just using a hand pump so I'm sorry I can't help much.

Stu.

Thats the sort of thing I had in mind but not quite on that scale. If this is not feasible what else do you guys run with your single cylinder diesels/

PMSL @ that Steve you only need 2 tractors and a trailer, not to mention saftey as it looked as it the trailer is held up by the tractor and the trailer axle is on a jack. I'm sure an axe would have been safer.
