My early Christmas present. IH LB 3-5hp.

Post  stationary stu on Sun Sep 18, 2011 11:45 am

My wife has bought me an early Christmas present so thought I'd share it with you all.
It's a non-runner but I don't think it will take much to sort out an even better it was a great price, anyone selling engines on ebay at the minute must be well pi55ed at the prices there not making Laughing Laughing yet I'm happy that things are a little cheaper, but that's just me as I'm a tight wad before anyone else says it. lol! lol! lol!

Yes Matt I'm lucky and love her to bits Embarassed

Good news I collected it last night and before we loaded it crancked it over and she fired first time and ran for about 15 seconds before it stopped. It was shooting flames out the exhaust so looks as if the timing might be out and running a bit rich so need to have a look at it this week as I'm hoping to rally it next weekend. The seller who had a large shed full of engines and some wonderful stuff nearly all big open cranks, you name it he had it, the shed was like aladins cave to SE fans, and this engine was to new for him. He managed to find a silancer for me but a pipe that's missing he couldn't find but it's not that important as we think it's just an engine breather pipe. Going to try and get a set of wheels fitted this week also.
I'll keep you informed of how I get on.
