Thanks for the kind words. I live in Kansas USA and recently picked up 3 shaft drive lister D's. They are in rough shape but I hope to get at least one running.
The other day I ground in the valves and last night I took the piston out after I found it had it had no compression and noticed that it had 3 rings instead of the normal 4. One of the rings is stuck solid so I have that in soak hoping to free it up.
Have you ever seen a 'D' piston with 3 rings?

I personaly know very little about the Lister D, I dont really like them as an engine for some reason.

Best of luck with you restoration though.
