alot of old brass

Wasn't sure where to put this as I can't see a general picture thread header.

By they are my pride and joy

Started to clear out my grandfathers garage.

Not sure what we are going to do with the plaque board!















2 are mine but can't remember which two! I know the dark stained one is mine.

found something for my boy Very Happy

This was made by my granfather





This one was give to my grandad when he was a boy in the 20s











couple of engine plates.

Lots of memories there Steve, I hope you can hold on to them and pass them down to your son. Even if you have to take them of the boards to keep them safe and keep some pics of how they all went there's alot of history there. Cracking models you'll have to see if you can get them steamed up.

Hi Steve,

I agree with Stu, you have a lot of history there to pass on.

Is it worth making some crates/ boxes to hold you displays intact?
That way you dont lose where they were positioned.

Id certainly make a couple of boxes for your models though, they are tidy articals.

or you could weigh the brass in as its a lot of money now a days..
then you could have a shed load of money to buy more engines...

Wouldnt even come into my mind, My grandad took the time to put them on the boards and polish and show then then im going to atleast keep them, not sure where yet, ok while my gran has a house.

you don't get many brass places now a days,its to much money..
some rallies ive been to you don't get nothing....
clean then up and show them at the shows..that way its keeping his memories alive...
