i had a mate come round to day with a Lister domestic hes just rebuilt..and when i say it rebuilt hes got new conrod, hes made all the brass nuts and screws, made a nice trolley to sit it on.....
im taking it to netley to try and sell it for him..it looks like new in side...hes even made a large brass nut for the front end..i should have taken a photo of it before i loaded it into the trailer scratch scratch ...
i will take on when i get it out of the trailer...
hes asking £100 ono..not sure what there worth, but when he got it,it looked like a piece of scrap....it's all painted to a very high standard..but like i told him its only a Lister domestic pump.will see how it goes, mite have to phone him with an offer...
regards,mike...

you should get some idea of value by watching this one sell

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lister-Domestic-water-pump-Stationary-Engines-/300577629111?pt=UK_BOI_FarmingEquipment_RL&hash=item45fbd2a3b7

in the end an item is worth whatever someone is willing to pay. Smile

EBay is not a great datum for setting true values as it varies so much.

Realistically I would value a pumping Domestic at around £50 an exceptional one like Mike s mate s may make £100.

Domestic pumps are great, the best little pumps and easy to get.I have had dozens over the years.

the threaded hole in the end where the pump rod goes in is badly rusted, not a lot of thread left in there i can hear the air sucking in when i turn it over by hand, i don't have a plug with a flange on it to seal it but i think i have a source for a better pump casting Cool

might be worth a try if not i might go for the better body iv'e been offered Very Happy
