Looking good Lewis, you do a great job on the repaint I have to say. Them wheels are going to need a bit of a wire brushing Laughing Laughing Laughing I think I'd look to get them sand blasted, you'll never need to do them again after that.

Hello All

I have got on with the trolley this last couple of days. I have kept the original skids as i think it would be wrong to scrap them as they are part of the engines history.

The trolley was made a bit to wide and then it would not go through our gate so the decision was made to chop it down by and inch either side to give it the room to go through gate with ease. i have decided to varnish it in a dark semi gloss as the original skids where badly marked and the new wood would have stood out if it was a lighter colour.

Heres a couple of photos

First 1 is when it was a bit wide but shows how it sits on the wheels etc.

This is the colour as it is now.

Many thanks Lewis

The Trolley is finished and the handle is on. The handle is from an old camping table. im really happy with the way it turned out. more than i was expecting. 1 more coat to go on the engine and it will be done. shall then leave it for 7 days and then put it on the trolley and rebuild it touching the nuts and bolts up as i go. I like the table leg idea, very clever and I take it that you can un-hook it when showing.
