christmas cactus will flower when conditions are right, the ones you buy in december are "tricked" into thinking its spring by the grower altering light levels and temps in the greenhouse before they go out to the retailers.

Hi Neville them cacti are very nice, we've got a Christmas one that flowers every May don't know why as it was flowering in December when we bought it, but like the rest of this household it's confussed.
Just out of interest what work did you do before retiring? after seeing your other post you've not wasted any time getting stuck into the resoration of the A1.

Re: welcome hob to the forum..
Thanks for the reply that's that question sorted, I thought there was something wrong as it's huge and thought it's all going into growing not flowering.
So after a job like that we'll see you at night
Well for someone new to engines (sort of) your getting on well with the petter.
I'll check the other post and see if I can sort why it's not working.

Re: welcome hob to the forum..
I've checked the other post and it's locked but when I go into the forum control panel it's Not locked. I'll send a message to Paul ( Rab) see if he can sort it. The problem I have is with being on admin even though it says locked I can still post so I can try it for myself. Thanks for bringing it to our attention Neville and we'll see if we can sort it.

I had a look at the post and thought it would be better to have all the chater on this part of the forum instead of being in two diffrent posts.
If you know what i mean,
I thought id left a post there but i must have forgot.
Probbably my age before any of you B***ers start
