Stainless Steel welding.
Can anyone tell me if it's straight forward to weld stainless steel? I need to mig weld stainless steel and is it the same as steel or will I need special welding wire? I've got some brackets that are ideal for making an axle so can anyone give me some info please.

Re: Stainless Steel welding.
Done some reading up and I'm now even more confused ( if that's possable
) I use a gas-less mig welder and everything I've read is about the gas to use, so I don't know if I can weld with a gas-less welder. It looks as if I need special welding wire
I've learned that it's very dangerous to inhale the fumes when welding stainless steel.
So I still need abit of help about the gas-less part of it.

Not a problem Matt, I might have to have a re-think about welding the axle as I don't think it will be strong enough, so looking at plating and bolting it now.
