looks really good, lots of polishing on the alloy Very Happy and i suspect a lot of work inside too Very Happy

my only thought would be that it may be prone to tip with a drive belt on it, i think i would have made a trolley that was in line with the pulley and mounted the pump on 2 cross pieces.

Looks good Mike but I'm with Nev on this, as I have one of these pumps I would be worried about it being pulled over on such a narrow wheel base.

Neville

thanks for that Neville..
the only thing is the pump is very tall now,i did make it so that it was the way you said but then it was sat far to high,so that why it sat the way it is..
the mounting holes are quite close together,so you need to put more cross members in to be able to sit that way.this pump has sat in the bottom of a well in somerset from the day it was purchased,so it didn't need top be sat on a trolley...but if i was to break it up for scrap it would make a far bit of money.but i didn't want to do this as it seems a shame to do so,as theres not many of these big bad boys on the rally field...
mind you it a labour of love,as i never seem to get much profit out of the things i sell.but i don't do it for the money,i do it to try a preserve these item and i enjoy it...
thanks again for your comments kind regards..mike...

yes mate your spot on there....its a bit of a bugger because years ago i would have done it in no time, but now have to pace myself like you do...
its a pity they cant transplant spines,we would be ok then...mind you it would be a bit complicated.....
i expect in years to come they will come up with a way of doing it.....will be to late for us by then..

Mike just talking to my missus last night about the same thing Laughing Laughing I'm wondering if they could fuse the broken discs together to see if that would help, I know I couldn't bend over, well can't bend much now anyways but not sure about sitting if that would be a problem. They built the six million dollar man years ago I'm sure they could knock up a couple of new spines in the shed at the back of the operating theatre lol! lol!
