i started the lister abl first, so that i could give myself time to decide on what route to take with the enfield. rewind the coils or use battery and coil.

The ABL is a nice little unit, used to be one with the shearing gear down my end of the world, may suffer from the small lawnmower engine stigma from some crowds, even though its not one, I get it sometimes with the Norman SC

The Enfields ignition system is crap at the best of times! If its working leave it, if its dead get it out.

ignition

Post  earlsinclare on Fri Apr 22, 2011 7:53 pm

not realy looked at it yet in any detail. i know its all their and nothing is stuck, it could be something as simple as a good clean and re-gap. i once had a flywheel mag on an engine that several people had passed along unable to get it to run, all it needed was the magnets in the flywheel cleaned to get the rust off and away it went.
so here's wishing its simple.
