Stu

I realise that this post was in late 2009 - but I can't find any present links to the club/organisation - do you know if Vintage Transport Association still exists?

What I have found is the National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club - did the latter incorporate the former, by any chance ?

Cheers
Elliot

That's the club Mike but there was a bit of a falling out at the club. As far as I know the club still runs but now only cater for cars, there was only 2 members interested in stationary engines and they left and one now organises a few rallies at Shildon each year.

Managed to contact someone in the NVTA - a Mr Robin Hind - here with their web link

http://www.nvta.co.uk/

Presently insurance and membership is £12/year for husband & wife and they have 4 or 5 stationary engine members.

I know the club I'm in has it's problems, yet it has a healthy bank account and runs 3 rallies a year. Membership and insurance is £22 per year.
