New Bamford Open Crank

Post  Hughesy on Mon Feb 21, 2011 7:41 pm

Hello all
As some of you may know i got this engine off ebay a week ago.

Its a 4 hp open crank bamford.

As can be seen on the photo of the lug it has been broken off, wasnt told about this when i bought the engine. so was a surpirse when i was told.

Also someone has made a nice job of making the hp into 40hp instead of 4hp

Just need to get a water drain tap, a fuel tank and pipes, and exhaust pipe made up as i got a exhaust.

Hope you all like it hopefully a video tomorrow.

Hi Lewis,

Thats a nice looking engine there, hope you manage to get the rest of the parts you want.

By the looks of it you wont have a great lot to do to it.

Paul

yeah i think he's quite reasonable lewis, its onyl lister d tanks where its difficult to justify the cost of a new tank, as the engines not worth much more, for everything else, he's top dog!

Paul Very Happy

yeah so did i. 54 pounds for a petrol parafin tank. and 40 for the whole pipe system ball valves and 2 way tap.
i dont think that is to bad.

i had an amanco tank last year and i was super happy with it.
