what is this....can you help.....
HI ALL...
A mate of mine dropped this round last week,he wants me to get it going for him....
I've not been well,so I've only taken photos today of the engine..
theres no markings/numbers anywhere on the engine....it used to belong to a friend of his that past away.....
if you can shed any light please can you let me know,so i can pass it on to him...
there is a faint tickle from the ht lead,so don't think it will need to much..

many thanks....regards...mike d...

stretch of the neck suggests bernard, possibly a WO or something like that? i'm not clued up on bernards.
tasty engines though, the WO was sometimes known as "the engine in the box" as it had a casing fitted.
Cheers.

Lucky so in so, yes it is a Bernard w0, well could be a conord f0 but at that time Bernard owned the conord company. There about 1 1/2hp and were fitted to pumps among many other things, and they are one of my faves, a advert in sem didn't even find me a complete one! They are on my to buy list lol
Do a search for moteur Bernard and that should bring up some hits, and Google translate should be able to help with the French forums!
Cheers Steve

The W1/2/3 are quite a lot bigger then the W0, the bigger ones with the cast exhaust dont half thump away nicely though!

i need to bolt the engine onto a trolley as it locks up on the bench,Ive not got enough swing in me to get it to fire...
