Hi Mike,

That looks like a great restoration project.

You will need a decent sized crane to get that moving, Any idea what make it is?

Down and around Wiltshire area ther used to be a lot of rollers the councils used to concrete them in to play parks.
But now with health and safety they are getting rid of them.
Kids been playing for years on them but now we have come a nanny state they have to go Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

aside from the sideshaft and a few other ancilleries, the engine isnt too bad, obviously it may be frosted, but that would probably go again, steam rollers in worse conditon get restored

Looks to me like a Spring Injected Blackstone in a Avelling Porter motor roller. Going by the engine I would date to early 1930s.
