Step by Step Photo upload
1. click on the "host an image icon"

2 select "browse"

3 find the picture you wish to host, and click on open

4 notice that next to browse is the filename and path of your image, click "host it"

5 the box changes (be patient, it takes a few seconds to upload), and provides three address lines, select the middle one (Image) just by left clicking on it

6 now right click on the highlighted blue text, and select "copy"

7 go back to your message, hover the mouse over it and right click your mouse, selecting "paste" the address will post into the message, looking similar to this
[ul=http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=45&u=14605947][img]http://i20.servimg.com/u/f20/14/60/59/47/just_l10.jpg[/ig][url]
(i made a couple of slight changes to the address line shown so that you can see it, otherwise it would have just loaded the image again!!!)
8 click on the host an image icon to get rid of the image hosting box

follow these instructions and you should be okay

Re: Step by Step Photo upload
Can I also add that if you have an account on photobucket ( http://photobucket.com/ ) you can host your pics on there and there are links where you can share to forums, email, facebook etc. I find that this is the easiest way but I think it's down to personal preference.
Anyone having problems please contact a member of the admin staff as we love to have pics posted on the forum and don't want to miss out on something you can't manage, we'd rather help them miss out.

Re: Step by Step Photo upload
posting images hosted at Photobucket
Ok presuming you have opened a Photobucket account and uploaded the images you want to display
hold your mouse on the image you wish to display and a box will appear as shown below
keeping the mouse in that box move down to where it says IMG code left click on this space and it will say saved

that means it has saved the link to your computer (don't worry where, it's only temporary)
next left click in the posting box of your new topic or reply ready to post the image.......next right click your mouse and select from the context box that appears the word paste
you should get something like this
this is the code needed to display your image, to test it you can click on the preview box below before making your final post, you can also add text either before or after your image .....or both if you wish
one other thing to mention ..............below the message box there is a small section called options
do not tick "Disable BBCode in this post" or your images will not be displayed.
NOTE
there is no limit on the number of images that can be displayed using this method if you repeat the process shown above.......................
HOWEVER it should be noted that caution is required on behalf of the poster as linking images in this way increases the bandwidth required to display the forum thus increasing the cost of maintaining the forum for the owners it is therefore desirable to only post those images that are required to have the desired effect NOT to show loads of images for the sake of showing them.

Re: Step by Step Photo upload
is your image hosted somewhere else ?
ok so you have your image in an open window in your browser..................
chances are your address bar will display the address of your image something like this
to display that image you need the BBCode to complete the link
i'm having to use code boxes to show how to do this to prevent the code from working

to do this you need to add [img] to the front end and [/img] to the back end with no gaps in between so it looks like this
