That ones in oz, I had a handyman, made to much mess with the pan exhaust, managed to find a expansion chamber like on most m types though was nice to have a choice of exhaust!

Re: Petter M series 1

Here a few before piccys, as it was, You can see why nearly all of the 336 engines made were sent back to Petter and broke up for parts, its a very messy little thing
throwing oil 2ft in either direction, and thats with a very low oil drip rate! (it covers everything and then causes the flat belt to slip)
I wrote to Mike Sage a few years back and he has only 15 on his Petter register, i would love to find out where they all are? i was quite excited when i saw the drab olive one! i beleive David Edgington has one too?
This being no 100016 is one of the earliest ones found so far, being No16, and pre dates the little pet ones.
Cheers
Ian

Great looking engine there, its nice to see it in black instead of the usual green.
I like the fact that you toke some pics before the restoration. Im like jonesey about takin piccs before i start. to excited to get it stripped down painted and rebuilt.
