Lister F type
I have been offered a Lister F today, only I dont know much about them!
Its rad cooled, has a solex carb (I didnt know they had solex's) & has a shaft driven mag BUT its a RS1 mag on it....Is this correct?
Finally what is a fair price? its in good nick and on a non-steerable trolley.
Thanks for your advice on an unfamiliar engine!

Re: Lister F type
John,
If I was offered a Lister F type, I would snap it up.
You do not see many of them around now.
Not sure of what the value would be, but I would expect to pay around £150 - £250 for a half decent example.
I believe most are 4HP as well.
Solex Carb is the correct one on the F type.
I have attached a picture of my brothers one for you.
regards
Martin.

That one is looking pretty good John,
Not sure if the mag is original or not, looks like it fits. Do you know what year this one is?
Just the air filter missing off the Carb.
Nice to see one still with it's radiator.
If you dont go for it John, I may be interested. Is it Local?
Cheers
Mart.

Re: Lister F type
Ryan,
I think I am right in saying 3 & 4 HP.
They really thump out, and get really hot, as I wound out at St Agnes this year when I put my hand on my brothers exhaust. Still got the scar on my hand now.
Cheers
