This has been a brilliant post as its giving a lot of detail on the restoration on an engine.

Lets hope a lot more of this type of "diary" of restoration is posted here.

I had a Email of someone wanting me to rebuild his lol so he can keep his boat orginal, dont think i can deal with that! be worried i would do a good enough job!

Got a coat on in the little bit of heat we had Very Happy, just been and checked in and got a run or 2, whats peoples advice rub down then another coat? would people rub down between coats, we never been very good at painting aslong as it ran we were happy Very Happy, as its a stuart i want it to look posh :P

Bit more work need me thinks, these photos have been quite useful as its highlighted where i missed, and where need rubbing down and repainting!

Can anyone help with 4 5/16 bsf brass dome nuts?

so please excuse the shoddy job atm i put some parts on to get the idea of how it will look.

Thanks been good to get out there in the evenings, luckly my wifes understands its been a bad week in work lol.

I wouldnt normaly worry about runs but these are some big ones! cold isnt helping!

You can buy 5/16 BSF Brass dome nuts on ebay.

I bought some of there the other day, think it was six in a pack.
