Take a look at these flywheels

i been looking at lots of pictures of tulip tops and all the flywheels look white, is it the camara or is it my eyes playing up

Bamford flywheels should be painted silver, or that is what the paint guide said 20 years ago in the stationary engine magazine so that is probably what has been done and looks white on the camara.
