Valve Clearences for a Lister D?

Is it true that the valve clearence/Tappets for a Lister D is set at .31 thou?

That's correct Adam, 31 thou. Might have to bend your feeler guage though!

someone told me it works out if you get it so there is no gap then unscrew both adjusters 5/8ths of a turn on the thread and it is 31 thou.

just got this off a manual i downloaded from IF, its a snipet of the lister D manual including a note regarding valve cleanances.



0.003" or 3 thou when engine is hot methinks.
