Wolseley WD8 valve clearances.

Post  stationary stu on Fri Nov 27, 2009 12:17 pm

Can anyone tell me the valve clearances for a Wolseley WD8. Also is there anything else I need to know about when removing/refitting the head after grinding the valves in.

Thanks Stu.

dont overtighten the bolt on the valve cover

If your cover is the original cast piece then it will break
If it is a plate steel one it will bend and leak oil

Thanks for all the information and help guys. Think I can tackle it now, well if we get a few warmer days so I can move it into the shed.

Thanks again, Stu.
