Hi Stu
Ask for 'Balata Belting', that's the old flat type of stuff that we use. Any length and any width can be made. You have 2 choices for joints, clipped which is a metal alligator type of clip with pin, or you can have 'endless' where they scarf the belt together and glue it. My belts are like the latter, nothing to get caught on.
an example of cost on recent belts I have bought:
2 off, 55" long x 2.25" wide (endless) were £7.08 each +carriage (£5.00)+VAT
2 off, 80" long x 1" wide (1xendless/1xclipped) were £5.00 each +carriage (£3.50)+VAT
1 off 74" long x 3" wide (endless) was £11.67 + 1 off 83" long x 2"wide (endless) was £8.24 +carriage (£5.00)+VAT

Mark Smith is very helpful. Belts have always delivered within 72 hours of ordering. Pro forma only, he will quote the price for the belt but not the carriage, you don't know what the carriage is until you get the invoice.

Cheers

Thanks Dave very helpful as the supplier I found hasn't any in stock at present so I'll give him a call and sort some out. As I don't know much about belts, mines 2 1/2 inchs wide so should I go with the 2.25? I want to sound as if I know something when I phone him lol.

Any width

Hi Stu
They cut it to whatever width you ask for, if yours is 2 1/2 they will make that for you. If you want the fasteners added rather than it being an endless type there may be a restriction to the nearest inch, but all mine (except one 1 inch one) are endless so it wasn't a problem. Mark Smith is the man to speak to Very Happy

The only supplier I could find for the fasteners sold it in foot lengths, then again it would never come in wrong for the future no matter what length it came in and trim it myself.
