Apple Top
Cistern Top (the square one, fitted to Benford concrete mixers).

The picture shows the petters at my dad's 60th crack up.

The red petter belongs to John Mitcham and has Little pet cast into the hopper, and is still on its original petter trolley.

The green petter belongs to my dad. He is only the 2nd owner of this engine from new. He removed from the local bakers in 1971, along with its dough machine it used to run and a lister A.

The unrestored petter belongs to Allan Mitcham.

The one's with the cast wording on the hopper are fairly rare. Petters removed the casting, as in france little pet means small fart, which apparently affected sales over there.

I think the casting is only found on the series 1, 2 & 3 models. Will check my books. The series 1 M universal had the oilers cast into the hopper as well. There were a couple at 1000 engine rally last year. will try and dig the pictures out to compare.

As to prices a complete M 1 1/2hp can cost anywhere between £300 & £600. one with the casting on, went for over £900 on ebay a while ago, and it was fairly rough.

If i remeber correctly the, series 1 eg little pet had a front mount magneto driven by straight cut gears, like bellow

These were changed to the series 2 as seen in the forum featured engine due to the Noise and oil being thrown every where, and the little fart thing!

Most the early Series 2 had the Cast little pet removed, but some were saved.

Just so you can get a idea on the noise. i like it Very Happy
