Norman dating

I was wondering if anyone can date my Norman T600 its TL1382

Hi Andrew!

I had a reply from Air Cooled and here is the history

Adam, TL1382 was sold on 30th August 1950 to Thomas Green of Leeds, one of a batch of 25 similar engines. Green's made, among other items, lawn mowers and it is likely that your engine is from a large lawn mower for sports fields/large estates. If it has retained its original magneto it should have a Wico A on it. No other information recorded against this entry.

Manufacture of the T600 engine started in 1946

It amazing how people have so much history

apparently Ryan the plans involve dating, pumping the engine full of an alcohol based fuel, and then lubing something up, but anything beyond that is, im sorry, just wrong, so stop there adam!!!!!

found a little more info, it may have been sold in 1950 but that serial number was manafactured in 1949. thought i would look since i found a list Very Happy
